Glen Little

PC Candidate in Bonavista South District

Glen Little will be the PC candidate in the district of Bonavista South in the 2011 general election.

Glen graduated from Cabot Collegiate High School in Bonavista in 1980. He completed basic electrical and carpentry courses at Bonavista District Vocational School and College of North Atlantic. Glen also completed leadership training and occupational health and safety courses. He has a diploma in Human Resources and Labour Relations and is currently working toward a degree.

As a community-minded person, Glen has been actively involved in community council with the Town of Bonavista for 14 years, was a member of 1997 Cabot Celebrations Committee, and was chairperson of the management team for the Town of Bonavista negotiations. He was appointed as a member of the Discovery Regional Development Board. He was a fisheries committee member of Council and is still a strong advocate on fishery related issues. He served as chairperson on Public Works, Finance and Beautification committees.

Glen has worked in health care for 26 years. He presented a document on health care to the Royal Commission on our place in Canada. As chairperson of the Health Care Committee of Bonavista Town Council, he submitted a report for the future new bungalow style protective care unit.

For 16 years, Glen was NAPE local President of Golden Heights Manor. He also held office of NAPE Provincial Board and Executive.

Currently, Glen is residing in Bonavista, NL with his wife Gladys. They have raised 2 children, Jason and Jenna. He is very optimistic about the future of this Province and is committed to serving the people of Bonavista South. He is a strong supporter of the Progressive Conservative Party of Newfoundland and Labrador.
